Tutoring is bespoke and corresponds directly to the needs of that student or group of students. It can incorporate maths, science or a specific science or a combination of the above topics.
Maths tutoring which follows the key stage 3 curriculum but can be tailored to specific needs of individual students.
Science tutoring follows the key stage 3 curriculum and is aimed to be fun and practical, wherever possible.
Maths and Science tutoring.
GCSE maths and GCSE science tutoring can be provided for both foundation and higher
maths and science papers.
Students who don’t achieve a grade 4 at GCSE at the end of year 11 will be expected to either retake GCSE or take the Functional Skills qualification.
A pass at Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE grade 4.
This course still has many of the maths skills but is more applied. Appropriate
support can be given to support work towards this qualification.
Not everyone passes their maths first time, for a variety and combination of reasons. It is sometimes a shock when this happens so it is important
we ‘draw a line under it’ and ‘get back on that bike’ to prepare for our retake as we only have just over 2 months to prepare.
I provide a programme to follow and weekly tutoring to support problem areas and support with past paper questions.
Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology A level tutoring
can be provided for all the above topics.
Details of A level syllabus will be needed to provide appropriate and specific tutoring.
Tutoring can be provided in science or maths to support applied higher diplomas such as: hairdressing, engineering or forensics and access courses for science or medical degrees.
